Day #87: Massage, groceries and killer cars
My sugars this morning were dead on 4.0, who could ask for mo-. No I’m not going to do it.
I had an early start for a meeting over skype that never happened, hey ho. Got lots of work done though before my afternoon massage session. That’s right! I treated myself to a… wait for it… this is a mouthful:
Psychosomatic Therapy Soul Energtics Body Works session.
And it was really thorough to say the least! I was in quite a degree of pain at certain points, which was always followed by equal amounts of relief when the pressure was off. I’ll definitely be going again though, it was fantastic, and I’d recommend it to anyone. The idea behind the massage, if I remember correctly is basically the massage version of acupuncture - to release any energy blockages along the body’s meridians, which may have been caused by either physical or emotional stress.
And what a session! I was in there for 3 hours man, it flew by. And I felt so chilled afterwards. I guess after Tuesday’s meditation and today’s massage you could call me Iceman. But no, I won’t “be your wing man anytime”.
After that I headed to get some more green groceries and was nicely surprised to see blueberries back - at a fairly resonable price too. I’ve been using strawberries and raspberries more recently, so any change is more than welcome.
To round off the day I had some quality time with my lad tonight and we watched an old favourite movie of mine (I watched it first when I was about his age): Christine - the Stephen King book / John Carpenter film.
It was actually the first time I’ve watched the whole thing without any dubbing or cut scenes, as I’d only ever watched the televised version before, which was cut to shreds and dubbed like crazy. I think I remember Buddy Repperton, in one scene, holding a switchblade knife saying: “I’m gonna flipping get you”.
Scary.
I’m off to bodkins now, got to get my beauty sleep, well, OK my sleep.
A Domani.
