Day #80: The Cliffs of Insanity

That’s right, 80. Bloody hell!

My sugars this morning were 3.7

I got a comment from a good friend of mine on the last post asking how I’m visualising this last stretch, whether or not day 46 was the start of the downhill section of the mountain, or if I was still climbing. And its a good point. I see day 92 as the top of the mountain, but I think I need to make (as Neil suggested in his comment) it more perilous in terms of not wanting to slip near the end.

So I’m going to name this last perilous journey to the top of Eagle Mountain after a scene in one of my favourite movies of all time: The Princess Bride

The “cliffs of insanity”. One slip and that’s it, but If I keep my concentration and will power, I’ll make it to the top of the cliffs and top summit of Eagle Mountain.

Today was a bitty day work-wise, an invoice here, a reminder there, sending a comp of for another client etc. etc. Those days are necessary though I suppose.

Some hypnosis CDs I ordered came today so I’ve ripped them into my itunes and will be listening to one for Better Sleep tonight. God knows I need it.

I can’t really believe that I’m officially in the 80s stretch of the juice feast. This seems like such a distant vision when I first started this. It really is hard to grasp.

So now I’ve got to keep my head down and maintain a firm grip as I start my ascent up the cliffs to my goal.

I’m enjoying reading days and days in one sitting. And smiled at the Cliffs of Insanity. Great movie — even greater anology, ha ha! Hang in there! Success is yours for the sipping. Congratulations on your blood sugar success too. While you are one day at a time, are you learning what it takes to break a feast? How will your life & eating as a family be different now that the end is near? And I hope it snows for you soon!

Hey Bee, thanks for the comment.
Yeah, I’m getting prepared for the prunes, juicy fruits and salads in just over week’s time! and I never thought I’d look forward to prunes so much :) It will definitely be good to eat with the family regularly too, that’s been just plain weird.

Still no really big dump as yet, fingers still crossed…
