Day #79: Morning Meditation
My sugars this morning: 3.7
My wife and I went to a group meditation this morning, at the Arts Station in Fernie. It’s my first group meditation session, an I actually really enjoyed it. I came out of our half hour mediation with one of my legs fast asleep, but with a definite feeling of peace and calm. It worked! For ages I’ve always struggled with the idea of meditation, in so much as I didn’t really have the patience the embark on it.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m a complete novice at this, and the next time I go I’ll probably wonder why I can’t get into the same “space”, but apparently the thing to do is not worry about that, and just keep practising.
We took the dog for a walk around lunchtime, and the weather was unusually mild. It’s got to dump here pretty soon if the ski hill is going to be ready for the opening day. It opens on December 6th I think and there’s still only a sprinkling of snow up there.
It’s definitely getting harder to maintain my discipline on this juice feast. It seems that the closer I get to the end, the more aware I am that I’m almost done, but yet I still have to deal with it everyday. I’m losing the ability to look at it one day at a time. I can almost smell the food that I’m going to be eating.
Oh well. I shouldn’t dwell on it here either.
One day at a time. Keep my head down and keep going.
‘night.

Hey Neil, thanks for the support.
Day 92 is the top. You’re right though, maybe I should visualise this last stretch as a perilous cliff face at the top of the moutain that I’ve got to scale to reach to top - sounds good.
I’m still climbing
“What just happened?” - No I’ve not seen it yet, I’ll go and check it out - thanks.
Take care friend,
Chris.
