Day #66: Raw Inca Blue Birthday Cake

Well hello there!

More snow overnight - that’s what I like to see. It’s still only a light dusting but it’s good :) And I heard my first Christmas tune on the radio today, and didn’t mind because it wasn’t to early and there’s snow on the ground - The Eagles version of “Please come home for Christmas”.

My sugars this morning were 3.7 and you know what? I mentioned in my last post that I look forward to getting a sweat on, well last night I did after writing the post, I went upstairs and did some resistance weights (remember I have more energy at night) and there were, that’s right, beads of sweat on my brow by the time I’d finished! Good stuff.

Ironically, I haven’t done anything exercise-wise today, not even a walk, I’ve been in the house all day, working after helping my wife set up her new iPod Nano on her computer. It was her birthday today you see.

And I should mention that she’s decided to go raw for a week - since last Friday, and she’s doing really well, but she eass very healthily anyway, so it’s not so much of a big jump for here, but she says she is missing sweet stuff. But raw on your birthday! Who’d do that?! That’s like juice feasting in winter - you wouldn’t catch me doing that, consuming nothing but cold green drinks in sub-zero temperatures. No way.

I just made my first birthday cake tonight too. It was easy, as it’s a raw cake for one. I just blended some nuts, raisins, inca berries and oats, put it in a mould and popped it in the freezer for a little while, turned it over onto a plate and then put some blueberries on top - et voila.

My wife’s eating it as I type and has just given me 10/10. Whoo Hoo!

And we’ve just named the recipe: Raw Inca Blue Birthday Cake

Well, we’re going to watch a short film right now, so I’m going to be sociable instead of social media and sign off, so until tomorrow mes amis,

Bonsoir.

Happy birthday Cheryl. Have fun with the raw week. The main thing I learned was variety seemed to be the key. And work out what a treat for you is. I found radishes and nuts a blessing. That and the amount of onions that only a single guy can eat. ;-)

Chris - I’m sure you’d never juice feast in winter. :-D
