Day #48: Bread Practice

My sugar this morning was 5.0. the highest it’s been for a while in the morning, but once again I had a lie in.

Something’s been happening the last few morning that I’ll mention now. When juicing, which is usually about 20 or so minutes after getting up, I feel like I’m really struggling to stay standing, like my heart needs a rest. Almost like I’ve been doing some intense exercise and I’m about to collapse.

This is good, so I’ve decided that I definitely need more sleep, for what I’m putting my body through. So I’m going to dedicate next week to catching up on sleep. I’ll be going to bed early every night and getting up when I get up every morning. My work will be done during the late morning and afternoon I guess, but I feel like I really need to address how I’ve been feeling, and apart from the obvious (diet) I think it must be lack of sleep.

We did a bit more DIY on the garage and the Homeopathic clinic today, and I made bread for my son and wife too - first time not using a bread machine, and they both said they really liked it. Now, while this might seem like a completely selfless act, there’s method in my altruism. When I get off this juice feast I’ve decided I’m going to make my own bread, control the sugar content (i.e. none), flour type and flavour. But I also decided that I don’t need to wait until I’ve finished to start practising! I can practise on the fam until I get it right, by which time, (hopefully) I’ll be partaking :) You see!

Anyway, I’m glad they liked it, I think I’ll make another loaf tomorrow (needed a bit more yeast if you ask me).

My wife and I went ’round to a friend’s house tonight and had a nice evening with more friends - a good Saturday night. It was a little tough watching everyone dig in to dips and chips and beer, but I can’t exclude myself from all social get togethers can I?

As I type this closing sentence, I’m hungry and tired. But thankful to, that I’m not also cold and wet. All four is no fun for anyone.

‘night.

Ended up at a local pub quiz tonight (like you needed to know that) and met a New Zealand Nutritionist and a personal trainer. Both backed you up in your feast as a top thing. I was asking about it and they were with you 100%. btw -we came third, but there were only 2 of us. Beaten by two teams of 5. We beat a team of 10 (regardless of them syaing they were 2 teams of 5. Yay us. Yay you. :-)

Hey Mat,
Always good to have the backing of a Kiwi or two :) Well done on the pub quiz too.

Are you any closer / have you done your raw for a week thing yet?

Take care mate,

Chris.

Getting closer, although this time of year is a bit crap for it. COld food, cold weather, groo. I should just pick a day and say GO! Let’s say Thursday and it’s raw food for 7 days.:)

Hey Mat, Good luck to you on your raw food diet mate. Is beer raw? Probably not :( Keep us posted everyday and let us know what you had eh?

By the way, starting on Thursday is a great idea. It means come next Friday, you can go out with a bang!

All the best,

Chris.

Hi Fella,
1
Long time no speak. Hope all is well!

I’m gonna comment as I catch up. Looks to me that your light headedness was probably caused by prolific ‘Dixie Chicks’ abuse the night before!
