Day #28: That’s four weeks you know
And don’t I know it.
This morning was a low morning. And I’m not talking about my sugars. I didn’t want to get up and when I got and I didn’t want to be anywhere, I just wanted to (as I told my wife) curl up on the couch and cry - nice manly stuff. She helped me through with a well timed hug and lots of positivity; “You’ve almost done a month.”, “In another couple of weeks you’ll be halfway there.” etc.
It helped, it always helps.
To add insult to injury, whatever the difference was in my ingredients this morning, the green juice was really bitter. I didn;t make the mistake of trying to sweeten it up again though, I just suffered it all day. It’s kind of shit when you don’t like the taste of your only food you know.
My sugars this morning were 4.8, so up again from yesterday but still within a good range.
I put together my new work desk today - got it from the Salvation Army in the states, for $34.50, a definite bargain. After that, my wife and I had a walk into town for a cup of tea each at Freshies, a lovely tea and coffee shop on the mainstreet (2nd Avenue) in Fernie.
Work beckoned after we got back and I’m pretty much ready to head to bed now. A bit of webbery before I do, and that’s me.
Oh, learnt a new phrase today:
