Day #27: I dream of… Bacon and Egg Sandwich

That’s right. Last night I had the following dream:

I was in some outdoor cafe with a couple who I don’t know, and the waiter is bringing us all bacon and egg sandwiches. He puts mine down in front of me, and the egg is just the way I like it, just the tiniest bit runny, and the bacon looks good too.
This waiter obviously takes pride in how these sandwiches are presented too, as my egg is slightly sticking out from between the slices of bread, so he takes of the top slice and moves the egg to a more central position in the sandwich with a knife, which almost pops the yolk, but this guys knows what he’s doing so the yolk is safe.
The next thing I know I’m realising “Holy shit I’ve got a bacon and egg sandwich on my plate and I’m supposed to be juice feasting!”
I tell the couple that I’m with: “Sorry guys, I can’t do this.”
I push my plate between the two of them and they both kind of shrug and just grab the contents of my plate and put it on theirs and continue eating.
I then realise that I’m chewing egg and bacon sandwich, so I lean down under the table and spit it out as discreetly as I can.

And that, was the dream I had last night.

This morning wasn’t much fun to be honest - that sandwich tasted good in the dream, even though I didn’t eat any, I did taste it, and it was f*cking nice.
The little demons in my mind actual started to put forth the idea this morning that “Hey you’ve almost done a month, you can stop after a month, you’ve proved your point”. Bastards.
Well I listened to them, you’ve got to listen. But you don’t have to comply.
I was a little wary of drinking my juice this morning, after yesterday’s taste fiasco, but when I finally did it was OK.

Before I forget, my sugars this morning were 4.3, and that’s after a lie in (which was really needed). The reason I mention the lie in is that usually when I rise a little later, my sugars are higher, but 4.3 compared to 4.1 yesterday is fine.

We progressed nicely with the basement today - getting the drywall framing pretty much secured and ready for the doors and drywall itself.

While my son went off to a hockey match, my wife and I watched a movie: “The Celestine Prophecy”. it was all right, but that’s about it. I only wanted to watch it as I’d read two thirds of the book and wanted to see how it turned out. The ideas mentioned in the book make a lot of sense, but the film needed to be longer to do the book any justice, but I glad it wasn’t if you know what I mean. My advice - read the book.

Anyway, off to the land of nod now, ready for a bright new day tomorrow.
‘night.
