Day #15: Still climbing…

My sugar was 5.2 when I measured it this morning, so I thought “Hmm.. not happy with that, surely it should be a little less?” So I did it again. It was 4.8. So then I though “But wait a sec now, that’s cheating. Do it again, and we’ll go with that one.” So I did: 4.8 again. So I’ll say that this morning my sugar was:

5.0 - How’s that? fair enough. I think so.

It was a day of work mostly, picked up some more Kale and cucumbers from a local supplier and shoved them in the fridge.

Nice evening, had a round of disc golf, followed by some Halo 3.

Off to bobos right now though, knackered.

A domani…

Hey Chris,

Sorry to hear about the Diabetes. I’ve been following your journey for a couple of days now and must say I’m impressed with your determination.

I haven’t read the book and don’t know anything about your routine other than what you’ve described…sometimes TMI :)

Are you recently diagnosed? T2 I suspect if you’re managing without Insulin?

My daughter was diagnosed with T1 in 2000, then two years later, I caught T2…they say that you should do things with your kids…I don’t think that this is what they meant.

OK, I’m overweight, eat poorly and don’t get enough exercise…”it” knocked on the door and I invited it in…From what I’ve seen of you, you’re a pretty fit young guy. That sucks.

I’ll continue to follow your battle, I wish you well.

Mark

Hi Mark!
Thanks very much for your comment, and thanks for your support I really appreciate it.
Sorry about any “overshare” but I feel I’ve got to get this out there, for me for later, and for anyone else who wants to try the Juice feasting thing.

I was diagnosed in May 2002 with T2, but it got steadily worse and shortly after moving to Canada I made the move to Insulin. Prior to this I was on 20 units of Lantus a day (the long lasting one).

The last time I took it was August 31st, the night before I began.

Sorry to hear about your diabetes Mark. If you want any tips on natural supplements etc., let me know.

Thanks again,
Chris.
